YA BASTA! to REDISTRICTING: Houston & Austin Protests

On a hot Friday afternoon, Houstonians said ENOUGH IS ENOUGH to the Republican Party's expensive and unethical attempt to redistrict voting rights away from minorities and into the bloody and grubby hands of the power elite.

On Saturday afternoon, about 5000 people from all walks of life, and all over Texas gathered in front of the State Capital building in Austin to give the genetically-modified Congressman tom delay, his wind-up poodle, Governor rick perry, and other would-be colonizers a loud and spirited dose of democracy.
Both events were organized by the Texas Democratic Party.
